No one ever warned Paden to watch her back while curing an interspecies pandemic.

 

     Paden only wanted to save lives, not take them. As the creator of the Sentinel— a neural implant device that directs the body to target and destroy the deadly brain-eating parasites— she and her powerful uncle are set to eradicate the “bugs.”

     But someone has other plans for her cure.

     On the day before the worldwide implants begin, a team member is murdered and another disappears. Paden investigates. Following a trail of deaths, she uncovers a plot to weaponize the Sentinel that involves those close to her.

     And one of them is trying to kill her to keep it a secret.

     With the clock ticking towards the first round of implants, Paden must stop those responsible before her cure becomes the next plague.
