Melisa Hightower is a science fiction writer who loves to write stories about highly intelligent, fearless, characters travelling the universe to grapple with emerging technologies. As a counselor, Melisa enjoys exploring the human (or alien) psyche through her characters.

 

     In real life, Melisa has an estranged relationship with math, a fear of vast dark spaces- like those that exist in closets- and is highly interested in, but sometimes confounded by, technology.

     She is also the mother of three grown humans and resides in Ft. Worth, Texas with her husband, and dog Emma. When not writing, she enjoys zip lining, shooting and a good glass of wine- just not all at the same time.

     Currently, she is working on getting her debut novel, The Sentinel Project published and is writing her second novel The Gemini Affliction.
